| Ladies, it’s 2 in the morning, I’m holding a freaking glue gun, I’m somehow going to have to explain to my children why their toys are glued to my head and I’m thinking about all of you! I am so proud to be standing tall, speaking loud, and getting down with all of you. Whether there are 2 people or 200 (at our parade), there is no way to fail when one person raises their voice to bring dignity to another. We, my friends, are indeed a force to be reckoned with!

SING it out in the streets…
Together we've found our voice, and it is loud, and it is beautiful and it sings a love song for our children. This song is a promise to have a hand in shaping public policies until every child has clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, goes to school, receives health care and is protected from violent conflict. It is a promise to choose sustainable solutions over unchecked consumption, fund schools over prisons, support microcredit programmes instead of weapon sales and courageously seek peaceful negotiation over war.
Individuals from virtually every corner of the earth are singing this promise and addressing the challenges facing our children. They are activists, teachers, writers, artists, government leaders, rock stars and children themselves. MAU is mobilizing the Mamas!
Whoever you are, wherever you live, grab a pair of stilts to express your joy in standing up on behalf of the world's children and start inviting your community to join this global chorus.
Share the current MAU actions with your friends, family, book club, babysitters and work mates. Visit the take action page, print the actions and GO!
Attend events in your community (lectures, city council meetings, local meetings of your political party) and share the MAU vision and actions with other shakers & movers. Invite two friends to join you (on stilts or off).
Talk with your community by scheduling speaking engagements at your church, library, retirement homes, etc. There are sample speeches for you to use here.
Walk on stilts. By far the most exciting & powerful community outreach is hosting a MAU Mother’s Day event — on stilts!
